USIM,NILAI - 9th January 2017, The first Halal Talk in 2017 brought the title 'Halal Biosensor' with three experts presented about halal and also biosensor.The program was held at Galeri, Chancellory Building, USIM.
The first speaker was Prof. Dr. Quamrul Hassan, who is the Chairman of Japan Research Institute for Halal Products and Services (JAHARI) and also Professor at the College of Business, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). He presented about 'Halal in Japan - Challenges and Opportunities'.
The second speaker was Prof. Dr. Eiichi Tamiya, he was Deputy Chairman of JAHARI and also Professor at the Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University. The topic presented by him was 'Biosensors for the Biomedical and Halal Applications'.
The third speaker was Prof. Dr. Yook Heng Lee, he is a Professor at the School of Chemical Sciences and Food Technology, University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).
Moderator of this program is Director of IHRAM Assoc. Prof. Dr. Che Wan Zanariah Che Wan Ngah. The program was attended by 40 participants consisting of USIM lecturers and USIM Masters and PhD students.
